Principal data produced. Each point consists of a 10x10m plot\, sampling occurs in five 50x50cm subplots: ~~
– date of sampling ~~
– total vegetation cover ~~
– vegetation species cover ~~
– number of vegetation species ~~
– vegetation biomass ~~
– vegetation C and N (ongoing) ~~
– soil bulk density at 0-5cm\, 5-10cm\, 10-20cm and 20-30cm ~~
– SOC and N at 0-5cm\, 5-10cm\, 10-20cm and 20-30cm (ongoing) ~~ ~~
Additional five 50x50cm subplots are fixed for vegetation monitoring within the 10x10m plot:~~
– date of sampling ~~
– total vegetation cover ~~
– vegetation species cover ~~
– number of vegetation species ~~ ~~
Soil erosion and surface hydrology data: ~~
– The resilience of restoration treatments towards wind and water erosion will be studied with a wind tunnel and rainfall simulation experiments in the field season of 2015 (ongoing)
