Objective : The objective of this metadata-base is to provide an overview of data and information on land degradation and restoration projects in the Rangárvellir area and illustrate their impact on the hydrological cycle. Geographically the project focuses on the watersheds of the rivers Eystri-Rangá and Ytri-Rangá and the Hekla forest (Hekluskogar). See the map below (full screen map here).
