The AUI Farmland Database land cover (Nytjaland) was created based on supervised classification of satellite images. The project was initated around 2000\u00a0 but\u00a0 was\u00a0 mostly\u00a0 halted\u00a0 around\u00a0 2008\u00a0 due\u00a0 to\u00a0 finance\u00a0 constraints.\u00a0 It\u00a0 uses\u00a0 10\u00a0 classes\u00a0 for vegetation\u00a0 in\u00a0 addition\u00a0 to\u00a0 glaciers\/snow\u00a0 and\u00a0 open\u00a0 water.<br \/>\n<strong>REFERENCES<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lbhi.is\/sites\/default\/files\/gogn\/vidhengi\/rit_lbhi_nr_54.pdf\">The main report of the project: Nytjaland<\/a> ~~ Fanney \u00d3.
